With a growing demand for its expertise and services worldwide, leading London accountancy firm Grunberg & Co has recruited six new starters.
Four of the new starters are trainees, three of whom will be studying within the firm’s audit and accounts team towards their professional qualifications via Grunberg & Co’s graduate and apprenticeship schemes, studying for their ACA and ACCA qualifications.
They have come to the firm with varying degrees of experience and will now support their colleagues and clients whilst further developing their practical experience.
These new trainees include Jack Chandler, Jonathan Rose, Katy Waller and Rohail Ahmed. The firm has a long history of training accounting and tax professionals, with many of its senior managers originally trainees of Grunberg & Co.
Robert Bean, Managing Partner at Grunberg & Co, said: “We are excited to be welcoming so many trainees to our practice. They are the future of our profession and so we think it is important to nurture their skills and passions.
“Our structured training programme has already helped lots of accountants and tax advisers to enter our industry, with many of them choosing to remain at our firm for decades.”
A key area of growth for the practice in recent years has been its cloud accounting services. To meet the needs of clients, Grunberg & Co has also appointed two Cloud Accounting Seniors.
Adrian Nistor joins the firm with considerable experience in several sectors, including PR, media, hospitality and individuals involved in the film industries.
His main role within the cloud accounting team is to prepare and review VAT returns and complete management reports, as well as general bookkeeping duties.
He has existing AAT qualifications but hopes to complete his ACCA studies with Grunberg & Co.
The firm’s other new cloud specialist, Katy Douglas, is an expert in QuickBooks, which is useful for businesses who use it in the construction industry and retail sectors.
She will mainly be involved in assisting with helping clients to keep their Xero and QuickBook accounts accurate, providing day-to-day bookkeeping and VAT return services.
“Cloud accounting is an essential service for our clients and an area where I think we have set ourselves apart,” added Robert. “I look forward to seeing what Adrian and Katy can achieve within our growing cloud accounting team in the years to come.”
